This publication rough draft represents a significant milestone in my graduate journey at Lamar University. Building on my innovation plan and previous coursework, I explore how TikTok-inspired short videos can be leveraged as a classroom strategy to strengthen oral language development for English learners in Grades 2–5. This draft highlights both research and practice, demonstrating how digital tools, scaffolded prompts, and reflective feedback cycles can create equitable, engaging opportunities for emergent bilingual students to build academic language skills. While still a work in progress, this article is planned for submission to Technology in Practice in order to share research-informed strategies with educators and contribute to the broader conversation on integrating culturally relevant, technology-mediated practices into elementary classrooms.
